Contamination-free sealing
Quieter than conventional pneumatically driven units, Ultraseal ePRO’s all-electric operation removes the risk of cross-contamination inherent in compressed air powered sealers.
Laser cutting functionality
Additional to plate sealing, the FireFly system has plate piercing and cutting functions. The cutting function increases sealing utility, capable of separating sealed strip wells and individual tubes. The piercing function reduces tip/probe damage in subsequent plate handling steps.

Offering complete versatility, the Kbiosystems sealer series will work with wide range of SBS format plates, tube racks and custom applications shallow and deep well formats, and custom mouldings.
Kbio’s range of sealers provide septum capping, adhesive pressure, and heat-applied sealing solutions. Their latest range of seals support polystyrene, polypropylene and CoC & CoP plate formats with a range of surface modified aluminium and plastic film substrates, including gas permeable films.
Kbio’s sealers are easy to program and operate. The heat-applied sealers feature an intuitive touchscreen user interface that combines temperature and seal time display. The Ultraseal PRO, ePRO, xtPRO, coldPRO and FireFly systems are all integrator friendly, with features such as automatic ejection when seal is complete. Additionally, the Firefly is compatible with Kbio’s Scorpion plate handling system for increased processing throughput.
Featuring all-electric operation, the Ultraseal ePRO removes the risk of cross contamination inherent in compressed air powered sealers. The use of force sensors allows dynamic feedback during the entire sealing process to ensure homogenous sealing, all controlled through the intuitive touchscreen interface.
The FireFly uses a fibre laser to generate a beam, that is highly suited for metal cutting and marking metal or light range absorbent materials for high-contrast plastic marking or cutting. With a wavelength of 1.064 µm, the beam produces an extremely small focal diameter, making the intensity up to 100 times greater than conventional CO2 lasers. With minimal heat transfer from the laser, plates can be fully sealed then pre-pierced to reduce tip damage, and resealed/re-pierced multiple times.
